Warda

Warda is a Bulgarian Oriental dancer whose career developed through intensive engagement with Egypt and the wider Middle Eastern dance community. Over more than a decade she has participated in numerous international events and study trips to deepen her understanding of Arab dance and music. She speaks Arabic, which has allowed her to approach song interpretation and cultural material with greater independence than many foreign performers. In 2017 she launched the **Hezz Ya Wezz** festival and the following year expanded her professional work through a dedicated dance school. Warda has since appeared as a performer, instructor and competition judge and has taught at events in Egypt itself. Her combination of language study, repeated source-country experience and community-building work makes her an important representative of the Bulgarian Oriental scene.
