Sharon Kihara

Sharon Kihara began dance training in childhood and started performing belly dance while still young. She later studied with influential American artists and became part of the early Tribal Fusion environment in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2004 she joined Bellydance Superstars and spent years touring internationally as a soloist, choreographer and Tribal director. She subsequently worked with Bellydance Evolution and other theatrical projects. Kihara's unusual movement quality, dramatic aesthetics and long touring career made her one of the defining international personalities of early Tribal Fusion.
