Biography
Sandra Kahloun was born into a Tunisian family deeply connected with Arabic music and grew up surrounded by classic Arab repertoire. Her father worked with musicians in Paris, while her mother sang music associated with artists such as Umm Kulthum. Sandra pursued serious dance training and spent years studying in Cairo with respected Egyptian teachers. In 1986 she began developing what later became known as Sandra's Method, a structured approach to Oriental dance training. She founded a professional academy in the south of France and has taught internationally for several decades. Her longevity and emphasis on Egyptian music, improvisation and technique make her an important North African–European master teacher.
