Maryem Bent Anis

Maryem Bent Anis, professionally known by that stage name, is an Italian dancer, educator and researcher specialising in the dances of the Arab world. Her professional experience spans more than two decades. She combines practical performance with research into music, movement, history and pedagogy. Maryem is also associated with major Italian Oriental dance events and professional teacher training. Together with Simona Minisini, she created educational material designed to connect technical development with stronger cultural and historical understanding.
