Mary Vatyliotou

Mary Vatyliotou is a Cypriot belly dancer, choreographer, instructor and dance-school director based in Nicosia. She began dancing at the age of five and trained across a broad range of movement disciplines, including ballet, contemporary dance, belly dance, hip-hop, Latin, modern, jazz and Greek dance. By the age of sixteen, she had decided to pursue dance professionally, with belly dance becoming the central focus of her performing career. Vatyliotou later moved to England to study dance at university, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sunderland. After returning to Cyprus, she continued her development through international and local Oriental dance festivals, studying with established master teachers while building a career as a performer, teacher, choreographer and competition judge. Since 2011, she has directed her own Nicosia-based school, Release Dance School, where she has developed dancers across multiple levels and styles.
