Maris

Maris is an Estonian dancer who began studying Oriental dance in 2005 and started teaching several years later. Her professional ambitions eventually took her to the Middle East, where she worked first in locations including Sharm El Sheikh and Dubai. She later established herself in Cairo and became active in Egypt's commercial entertainment scene. Her professional work has included weddings, Nile cruises, clubs, events and other performance environments requiring regular interaction with Egyptian audiences and musicians. Maris has also appeared in media projects and expanded her creative work into music releases. Her career represents the increasingly international composition of Cairo's modern dance scene while demonstrating the long-term commitment required for a foreign artist to work professionally in Egypt.
