Marina Shishkova

Marina Shishkova is a Russian Oriental dancer who became particularly visible through the international competition and festival circuit. Her competitive record includes titles and awards obtained in several European countries as well as events connected with Egypt. She later expanded from competition into professional teaching, choreography and coaching. Marina has appeared at major international festivals including Raqs of Course in Cairo. Her stage work reflects the technically demanding Eastern European approach to contemporary Oriental dance, with an emphasis on precision, extension and dramatic presentation. She also organises and participates in competitive events, giving her influence beyond her own work as a performer.
