About
Biography
Igor Kischka is a Brazilian dancer and choreographer who has specialised in Arab and Oriental dance since 2011. He developed an international career through performances, workshops and festival appearances in more than thirty countries. His teaching places strong emphasis on individual artistic identity rather than encouraging dancers to reproduce one fixed aesthetic. Igor is also part of a growing international generation of male Raqs Sharqi performers challenging the idea that the professional Oriental stage belongs exclusively to women. His movement combines technical Oriental vocabulary with a highly personal stage presence. Through international teaching and online visibility, he has become one of Brazil's most recognisable contemporary male Oriental artists.
