Biography
Horacio Cifuentes began dancing at five and pursued extensive professional training in flamenco and classical ballet. He eventually became a soloist with the San Francisco Ballet, performing in numerous classical and modern works. After discovering Oriental dance, he transferred his professional stage experience into a new artistic field. Together with Beata Cifuentes, he created full-evening Oriental Fantasy productions featuring commissioned music, theatrical scenery and elaborate choreography. His career is a rare example of a high-level classical male dancer becoming an internationally influential Oriental dance performer and teacher.
