Bindu Bolar

Bindu Bolar became one of the pioneering figures of Tribal Fusion belly dance in India. After training in Oriental belly dance, she pursued more specialised fusion education and developed a distinctive personal vocabulary. Her “Belly Animation” approach combines belly-dance isolations with popping and animation techniques. Bolar founded Lights Camera Dance in Bangalore and expanded her career through international workshops in Asia, Europe and North America. Her work is significant for demonstrating how fusion belly dance developed strong local identities outside its original American centres.
