Amir Thaleb

Amir Thaleb is an Argentinian dancer of Syrian descent who became one of Latin America's most influential Oriental dance teachers. He discovered belly dance in his youth and developed a systematic approach to technical and artistic education. Thaleb founded a major school system in Argentina and mentored numerous dancers who later built international careers. He is also an author and has produced theatrical works through his Arabian dance company. His contribution is fundamental to understanding why Argentina became one of the strongest centres of professional Oriental dance outside the Middle East.
