Gulf rhythm related to the broader Khaleeji rhythmic family. Different regional traditions and teaching systems transcribe it differently, so it should not be presented as a completely fixed darbuka pattern. The belly-dance-oriented 40 Arabic Rhythms collection lists it specifically as a 2/4 Khaligi rhythm.
